Zimbabwe Consulate appointment booking online application started during the COVID19 lockdowns and was for the following two Consulate Offices in South Africa:
1. Johannesburg Consulate Office
2. Cape Town Consulate Office
Each has its own rules and website for handling clients that want services.
Johannesburg Consulate no longer require Appointment bookings
The Zimbabwe Consulate Johannesburg appointment booking online applications has now been suspended starting 3rd July 2023. This means for Johannesburg you do not need any booking now. You simply go early and make sure you are part of the 480 clients served each day.
Cape Town Consulate still requires online appointment bookings
The Cape Town Consulate still uses online appointment booking and before you go make sure you have booked your appointment. You simply go early and make sure you are part of the 480 clients served each day.
Given that a lot of questions have been asked about existing and new appointments. Johannesburg Consulate no longer requires appointment bookings. Starting 3rd July 2023 they are doing walk-ins in a first come first served basis, just make sure you get there earliest and you are part of the 480 clients served per day.

Cape Town Consulate still requires online appointment bookings online. Booking is mostly full but try your bookings on Wednesdays from 16:00
You do not need to book an appointment for the Zimbabwe Johannesburg starting 3rd July 2023. You just go in very early as walk in and make sure you part of the 480 clients assisted each day.

After COVID arrangements, the Zimbabwe Johannesburg Consulate is back to opening and same time Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri 08:30 – 12:30.
They are closed on Wednesday for Births and Passports only Burial paperwork services will be available.
Yes sometimes there are no open slots. You have to keep trying and aim for Wednesday afternoon starting around 4 pm.

Be advised that ALL appointments which had been scheduled for the period 4 January to 26 March 2021 were canceled following the movement to Adjusted Lockdown Alert Level Three.
The Consulate will issue new dates on all those that had already booked. All existing bookings will receive a revised appointment date.
Please IGNORE all the automated reminders that are linked to the original appointments.
It is therefore NOT advisable to visit the Consulate before receiving the revised appointment date because no service will be extended to such individuals.
Individuals should expect to receive new appointment dates via the email used to book the original appointment as and when the operating environment permits. Broadly, Zimbabwe Consulate will continue to follow the direction given by the host government.
